Beef Pickle


Beef Pickle

Ingredients 1

Tender beef - 1 1/2 kg (cut in small pieces)
chilly powder- 1 tsp
turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
fennel seeds -1 tsp
vinegar -1 tbsp
Salt - As reqd

1)Mix ingredients 1 and cook until well done and dry.

2)Heat sufficent refined oil in a pan.

3)Fry the meat, small amount at a time. may be you can divide the meet in to 3 portions and fry . Do not allow the meat to harden.

Ingredients 2

For frying :-

Ginger(finely chopped) - 2 tbsp
Sunflower Oil -2 tbsp
Gingelly oil - 2tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Fenugreek seeds- 1/2 tsp
Garlic pods - 1/4 cup
Curry leaf- a few

Ingredients 3

For grinding:-

Chilly powder - 3 tbsp
Ginger(fine pieces) - 1 tbsp
Garlic pods(big) - 8 nos
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Fenugreek(Uluva) - 1/2 tsp

Grind ingredients 3 and keep it aside.
Method
1)Heat 2tbsp of sunflower oil and 2tbsp of gingelly oil.

2)Splutter mustard seeds and Fenugreek seeds.( from ingredients 2 )

3)Add garlic, ginger and curry leaf and stir until the oil separates.

4)Add the ground masala paste (ingredients 3) and saute.

5)When masala is nicely fried, add 2 tbsp vinegar, salt and 1 cup of boiling water and bring it to boil.

6)Add the fried meat.

7)Allow it to boil again for one more time.

9)If the gravy is less you can add 1/2 cup of boiled water, 1 tbsp vinegar and salt according to your taste.

10)Remove from fire.

11)Cool and bottle it.
